Summer Music Master Class at St. Tikhon's

For the second year St. Tikhon's will host a PATRAM Orthodox Music Master Class.  Registration is open now.

In addition to classes on congregational singing  (including smaller choirs), the newly renovated Bell Tower at the monastery will be used for a Slavic Bell class.  Blagovest Bell’s participation in this year’s program will provide the unprecedented opportunity for intensive, one-on-one training in traditional Russian Orthodox bell ringing.  Experts from Blagovest will train participants in the proper set-up of Orthodox church bells, traditional ringing techniques, and the canonical peals. Bell ringing participants will also ring the peals in the services that end the program.
