Bishop Tikhon and Bishop George Concelebrate in Historic Liturgy - 08/14/11

On the Patronal Feast Day of the Monastery of St. Tikhon of Zadonask, Bishop Tikhon of Philadelphia (OCA) and Bishop George of Mayfield (ROCOR) concelebrated Liturgy in the Monastery Church in the presence of the Kursk Root Icon and many clergy and visitors. It was a historic day since the last time a ROCOR Bishop served with an OCA Bishop at the Monastery was almost seventy years ago. We give thanks to God, to Metropolitan Hilarion, and to Archpriest Serge for bringing the Kursk Root Icon again to the Monastery and we invite everyone to join us again for next year's Patronal Feast Day.
