On February 17th and 18th Fr. Igumen Sergius will give a pre-lenten Retreat at St. Innocent's Orthodox Parish in Livermore, California. Fr. Sergius will bring the Chalice, Gospel Book and Panagia of St. Innocent of Alaska for veneration by the faithful along with the relics of St. Tikhon of Moscow, St. Tikhon of Zadonsk, St. Herman of Alaska, St. Raphael, St. Nikolai of Zicha and St. Alexis.  | Fr. Theodore Petrides to Give Lecture at St. Tikhon's Bookstore Museum - 02/03/11
On February 25th at 7:00 p.m., Fr. Theodore Petrides will give a talk about the life and spirituality of his spiritual father, the Athonite Elder Amilianos of Simonos Petras. The talk will be in the Museum above the bookstore and is open to the general public.

 | Monastery Continues to Renovate - 02/24/11
The Monastery is currently undergoing a much needed renovation project. Insulation and energy efficient windows are being placed in every room along with new carpet and electrical system. We hope that this will considerably lower our current energy bill. Total cost of renovation project for the entire building will be $73,000.00. We currently need approximately $27,000 more to complete the project. We are grateful for anyone who wishes to donate any amount towards this project or if you want to donate to a specific item, an energy efficient window (there are 20 total) for a monk's cell are $350.00 each. On April 2nd and 3rd, Fr. Igumen Sergius will visit St. Basil's Antiochian Orthodox Church in Kansas City, Kansas. He will give a Pre-lenten Retreat on Saturday beginning at 8:00 a.m., will serve Liturgy with Fr. Innumerable cures from barrenness and cancer are attributed to this Icon of the Grandmother of Jesus Christ and all are welcome to come to partake of the grace and life that flows from the Myrrh streaming Icon of St. Anna.

 | Kursk Root Icon to Visit for St. Tikhon's Day August 13th - 07/14/11 With the blessing of Metropolitan Hilarion, Archpriest Serge Lukianov will visit our Monastery with the Miracle-working Kursk Root Icon on August 12th and 13th for the Vigil and Liturgy of our Patronal Feast Day for St. Tikhon. We invite everyone to come to pray before our Lady with us and to join us for Liturgy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday the 13th and to a festive Trapeza which will follow after the Liturgy. Vigil on the 12th will begin at 4:00 p.m.

 | Bishop Tikhon and Bishop George Concelebrate in Historic Liturgy - 08/14/11
On the Patronal Feast Day of the Monastery of St. Tikhon of Zadonask, Bishop Tikhon of Philadelphia (OCA) and Bishop George of Mayfield (ROCOR) concelebrated Liturgy in the Monastery Church in the presence of the Kursk Root Icon and many clergy and visitors. It was a historic day since the last time a ROCOR Bishop served with an OCA Bishop at the Monastery was almost seventy years ago. We give thanks to God, to Metropolitan Hilarion, and to Archpriest Serge for bringing the Kursk Root Icon again to the Monastery and we invite everyone to join us again for next year's Patronal Feast Day. Museum at St. Tikhon’s Monastery is now receiving donations that will be
displayed and housed permanently for the many hundreds of pilgrims that visit
our museum each year and will be preserved for future posterity. Such donations

interest will be considered for addition to our large and precious collection

The Society of Friends (founded in 1964) recently met to discuss its upcoming improvements of the Monastery driveway asphalt as well as the upcoming dedication of its recently purchased reliquary for the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov which will take place on December 6th. The Society of the Friends of St. Tikhon's Monastery is accepting applications for membership which costs $12.00 a year and works to benefit the Monastery.  | St. Anna and Fr. Athanasy Join St. Tikhon's Monastery - 10/19/11
The Monastery Brotherhood welcomes Fr. Athanasy (Mastalsky) and the Myrrh-streaming Icon of St. Anna who have recently joined the community here at St. Tikhon's. Fr. Athanasy will continue to travel with the miraculous Icon of St. Anna and provide assistance to pilgrims and to the community here. Every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. we will have a Moliben for the sick and suffering served in front of St. Anna. All are welcome to join us in the All-Saints Bell Tower Chapel behind the main Church each Sunday for the service. The Myrrh-streaming Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos from Hawaii will again visit the Monastery this Memorial Day from Friday May 25th at 4 p.m. to Monday May 28th at 3:00 p.m. Healings from cancer, demon possession and blindness have been attributed to the intercessions of the Mother of God through this Miraculous Myrrh-streaming Icon.
